Veterans Memorial Park

For outside concerts, festivals concert-in-the-park-at-oktoberfest-2016and celebrations, Veterans Memorial Park is a favorite place, providing 40 acres of park space, a 5,250 square foot covered concert pavilion,  a volleyball court, skate and bike park, playgrounds and softball field. Dependent upon the calendar, the Park can be reserved for special events.    Its adjacent facility, the indoor swimming pool at the Cove can also be rented for private parties.

Cove

senior-games-cove-pool-swimming-relay-race-3-11x9-180-rgb-jpg the-cove-waves-swimming-pool-water-people-5x4-483-rgb-jpgThe Cove features a zero-depth beach style entry at one end, two enclosed tube slides, a warmer water pool with jets, sunning decks, shallow water kids’ lagoon with a water slide, snack bar, seasonal diving pool, and eight 25-yard lap lanes for competitions or exercise. This 36,500-square-foot facility includes locker rooms for men, women, and families.

Race Routes

multi-use-pathWhen it’s too cold to go out and below freezing in other areas, it’s still beautiful in Sierra Vista. Our mild climate can accommodate outdoor competitive sports year round. To make it easy for race promoters, we’ve developed a number of prepared courses ranging from typical 5Ks to marathons. Additionally, our city-owned pool and miles of multi-use paths can accommodate triathlons.

Camping

Campers, RVs and tents are welcome in the community. There are a number of parks both within Sierra Vista and Huachuca City along with Cochise County. Click here to see a list of area RV parks and campgrounds.

Air Facilities

Sierra Vista offers its own aerial-of-landing-strip-1b-22x17general aviation airport.  Shared Jointly with Fort Huachuca, the 12,000 foot runway at Libby Army Airfield/Sierra Vista Airport will accommodate any type of jet.  Only 75 minutes away is Tucson International Airport providing connections to the rest of the continent and beyond.

Hotels

In addition to many bed & breakfast facilities, within the City are 20 hotels ranging from cozy smaller facilities to the larger chains.
