The Friends of the San Pedro River are celebrating springtime and the arrival of birds migrating north with special activities on Saturday, April 27. We have a number of activities planned for kids, adults, and birdwatchers. Birders are invited to assemble at five locations along the river at 7 am for the Big Bird Day count. There will be a kids’ art contest and coloring station, nature walks, competitive and fun atlatl throwing, a nature walk, and much more, including a 10% off sale on everything in the San Pedro House Nature Store. The San Pedro House is located at 9800 E. Highway 90, approximately 8 miles east of Sierra Vista.
