Celebrating the Importance of the Huachuca Mountains Important Bird Area to Birds and Communities! A dedication ceremony will be held on Fri, Aug 1 at 2:30 p.m. on the stage inside the Mall at the Southwest Wings Festival. There are five IBA's in Cochise County, with Huachuca Mountains being one of the most important for its unusual Madrean bird species. Mayor McCaa will introduce representatives from Coronado National Forest, Fort Huachuca, Tucson Bird Alliance, and Game & Fish at the dedication.
